In this article, the author examines the special features of the process of educating Mongolian children while studying the Russian language. In the giventable, the author partially showed what new competencies, in what classes and through what types of activities he is trying to instill in students. Special attention was paid by the author to the problem of decline in popularity of learning the Russian language after the 1990s and to the measures taken to overcome this situation at the present time.
