The method of definition of a residual resource of buildings taking into account a stock of bearing ability of structures and the defeat area at possible accident is presented in work. This method is based on the widely known method of definition of a residual resource of the building on physical wear of structures. Disadvantages of this widespread method are analyzed and ways of their elimination are oered in this article.
