Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan undak-usuk basa Sunda siswa dalampelajaran bahasa Sunda. Berdasarkan permasalahan dan tujuannya, dideskripsikan tentang korelasiminat belajar dan sikap berbahasa terhadap kemampuan undak-usuk basa Sunda siswa kelas X 9SMAN 9 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskripsi analitik korelasional. Teknikyang digunakan adalah teknik angket dan tes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapabesar pengaruh minat dan sikep terhadap kamampuan undak-usuk basa Sunda siswa. Besarnyakorelasi antara variabel minat dan sikep terhadap kamampuan undak-usuk basa Sunda yang dihitungmenggunakan koefisien korelasi adalah 0.132. Dengan demikian bisa diinterpretasikan hubunganantara variabel minat dan sikap terhadap kemampuan undak-usuk basa Sunda rendah. Koefisiendeterminasi variabel minat dan sikap terhadap kemampuan undak-usuk basa Sunda adalah 2.8%.Artinya, kemampuan undak-usuk basa Sunda dipengaruhi oleh variabel minat dan variabel sikapsebesar 2.8% sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.AbstractThe lack of students’ ability of using Sundanese speech levels in learning Sundanese motivatedthis study. The goal was to describe the correlation of interests and attitudes and the ability touse Sundanese speech levels of Grade X students of SMAN 9 Bandung. The method used wascorrelational-analytical, using questionnaires and tests. The reseach aims to determine the extentto which interests and attitudes inuence students’ ability of using speech levels. The amount ofcorrelation between interest and attitude variables and students’ ability was calculated using thecorrelation coefcient of 0.132. It was found that the correlation between interest and attitudevariables and ability was low. The coefcient of interests and attitudes and students’ ability was2.8%. It means that the inuence of interests and attitudes to students’ ability of using speech levelswas about 2.8%, while the rest was inuenced by many other factors
