The article examines the procedural status of the Prosecutor at the stage of resolving crime reports, and also analyzes the trends in the development of the procedural status of the Prosecutor. The author conducts a study that puts forward proposals aimed at improving the effectiveness of the implementation of Prosecutor's supervision over the resolution of crime reports. The article focuses on the issue of expanding the criminal procedure status of the Prosecutor in the framework of granting him certain decision-making powers. The author's vision of measures aimed at improving the effectiveness of Prosecutor's supervision is proposed.
