This study explores how the structure of professional identity and its undermining are associated with symptoms of psychological distress in the skilled trades, focusing on the construction and manufacturing sectors in Quebec. One limitation of the current research is its neglect of professional identity, even though this concept is important to explaining psychological distress symptoms.
