The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the comedy translation by A.S. Griboyedov «Gore ot uma», performed by V. Dobbert, for the display of national and cultural realities (toponyms, anthroponyms, historical facts, etc.). The main patterns and features of the translation of national and cultural realities are revealed.
