The paper considers the possibility of using the lexicographic description of auxiliary words of the Russian language developed by A.F. Priyatkina and E.A. Starodumova to describe the text clip "first of all". The article presents the development of a dictionary entry of the fixed phrase "first of all", prepared on the basis of this technique.
