The genre of the dictionary of foreign-language neologisms, reflecting its time, assumes dating of foreign-language occurrences, their selection from the point of view of functioning in the language and normative-stylistic characteristics. Subject to explicit labeling in the dictionary are borrowings themselves, quasi-borrowings, hybrid formations, secondary borrowings, and semantic derivatives.
