This research is devoted to the history of banking development in the border region of the Russian Empire on the example of the activities of the branch of the Russo-Chinese bank, located on the territory of the Kyakhtinskaya Sloboda. The main focus of the research is on the study of the operations carried out by the Kyakhta bank branch, aimed at assisting in the promotion of the Russian economic expansion of the country of Inner Asia.
