The result of the phycofloristic study of three places from La Magdalena's rive r were 72 alga! species with the next proportions: 63 Bacillariophyceae, six Cyanophyceae, one Chlorophyceae, one Ulvophyceae and one Charophyceae. Is presented a brief description of the species, including environmental characteristics and photographs. Eleven new registers to the country are reported.
