Lista florística de las algas marinas bentónicas de la costa norte de Michoacán, México

The results of a phycofloristic survey made during the years 1980 and 1984, 10 Km South of the northern limit of the static of Michoacan are reported. The results can be summarized in the taxonomic determination of 68 species distributed in 43 genera belonging to divisions Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Phaeophyta and Rhodophyta. New records for the Mexican Pacific phycology are reported, as well as those for the Mexican tropical Pacific exclusively. Comments on habitat, substrate and reproductive state are also given for each taxon. Checklist of the bentonic marine algae from the coast of northern Michoacan, Mexico
