he import substitution policy. The article analyzes the structure of imports and exports of the Republic of Bashkortostan for 2015-2019, reveals the impact of import substitution policies on the volume and structure of exports and imports of the region. The authors proposed the main directions of import substitution in the Republic of Bashkortostan in the following sectors of the economy: agriculture, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. It was noted that in the difficult epidemiological situation associated with the spread of coronavirus, the problems of import substitution in the region are even more relevant.
