The Culture of Vygotsky

L.S. Vygotsky's comprehensive psychology for human development has relevance for scholarship in our times. Significant issues follow from the cultural‐historical context of Vygotsky's work in Soviet Russia, from the familiar themes in his writing that are applied in current research, though sometimes misappropriated, and from his dedication to special‐needs children. Other issues follow from difficulties with translating Vygotsky into English, tensions between the roles of the individual and the collective in both human activity and psychological research, and the ephemeral nature of Vygotsky's conception of mind. إن علم نفس فيكوتسكي الشمولي لتنمية الإنسان له علاقة للأبحاث العلمية حتى يومنا هذا. إذ تنبع قضايا مهمة في السياق الثقافي التاريخي من أعمال فيكوتسكي أيام الاتحاد السوفيتي المأخوذة من المواضيع المألوفة في كتاباته المنطبقة في الأبحاث الجارية ومن وفائه للأطفال مع حاجات خاصة بيد أن استشهاداتها خاطئة أحياناً. وهنالك بعض المشاكل مشتقة من ترجمة فيكوتسكي إلى الإنكليزية والتوترات بين دوري الفرد والمجتمع في كلا أنشطة الإنسان وأبحاث علم النفس وطبيعة مفهوم فيكوتسكي العابرة للدماغ. 维果茨基在研究人类发展方面的综合性心理学对现今学术研究具有相关性意义。应用于现今研究中的许多重要问题是源出于维果茨基在苏维埃进行研究工作时所身处的文化历史背景或是源出于他的一些为人熟悉的主题虽然这些主题有时会被误用又或是源出于他致力于帮助有特别需要的小孩的精神。其他现今研究的问题有的是源出于维果茨基的著作在翻译成英语版时所遇到的困难也有是源出于人类活动和心理学研究所存在的个人与集体角色的矛盾亦有源出于维果茨基对心智概念形成的短暂性。 La psychologie compréhensive du développement humain de L.S. Vygotsky demeure pertinente pour la connaissance à notre époque. Il existe des prolongements significatifs issus du contexte socio‐culturel de travail de Vygotsky dans la Russie soviétique, à partir des thèmes bien connus de ses écrits appliqués dans les recherches courantes, quoique parfois de façon inadéquate, et à partir de son intérêt pour les enfants à problèmes. D'autres prolongements résultent des difficultés qu'il y a à traduire Vygotsky en anglais, des tensions entre les rôles de l'individu et de la société dans l'activité humaine et dans la recherche psychologique, et de la nature éphémère de la conception qu'a Vygotsky de l'esprit. Психология Л.С. Выготского с ее культурно‐историческим подходом к развитию человека значима для науки и в наши дни, равно как и опыт его работы в Советском Союзе, и тематика его исследований, которую так часто “перепевают”, а то и незаконно присваивают другие ученые. Очень значимый пласт его деятельности посвящен детям со специальными нуждами. Многие проблемы с наследием Выготского связаны с трудностями перевода его текстов на английский язык, с разницей в трактовке таких понятий как личное и коллективное в человеческой деятельности и в психологии, и с эфемерной природой того, что он включает в понятие “сознание”. La psicología comprensiva para el desarrollo humano de L.S. Vygotsky es relevante para la investigación hoy día. Cuestiones importantes salen del contexto cultural‐histórico del trabajo de Vygotsky en la Rusia Soviética, de los temas conocidos en sus obras que se aplican en investigaciones hoy día, aunque a veces mal apropiadas, y de su dedicación a niños con necesidades especiales. Otras cuestiones salen de la dificultad de traducir a Vygotsky al inglés, de las tensiones entre las funciones del individuo y el colectivo tanto en cuanto a las actividades humanas como la investigación psicológica, y la naturaleza efímera del concepto vygotskyano de la mente.
