O artigo aproxima as relações percepção-memória e imaginação-memória. Refletindo sobre o livro Memória e Sociedade, compara a pesquisa no meio urbano com as realizadas no meio rural quanto às formas de evocar o tempo. This article draws together the relation between perceptive-memory and imaginative-memory. Reflecting upon the book Memory and Society, it compares the results of this research, applied in an urban scenario, with one applied in a rural setting searching for similarities in the form with which time is evoked
