Educação moral para a autonomia

Atualmente, o tema da educação moral tem ocupado parte das pesquisas sobre desenvolvimento moral, tanto no Brasil quanto no exterior. Apesar disto, ainda há poucas pesquisas sobre programas educativos, que tenham como objetivo o desenvolvimento da autonomia moral. O presente artigo apresenta a discussão em grupo de dilemas sócio-morais como um recurso metodológico eficaz para a promoção da consciência moral em crianças. Analisa o processo de mudança no pensamento moral, identifica os estágios onde as mudanças ocorreram e analisa como as mudanças foram realizadas. Por fim, discute algumas limitações do enfoque teórico adotado e faz algumas sugestões para a realização de futuras pesquisas. Moral education is currently an important issue of the moral development research area, in Brazil and abroad. However, there are not many research studies about educational programs that aim at developing moral autonomy. This paper presents the discussion group on social and moral dilemmas as a successful methodological strategy to promote moral consciousness in children. The study analyzes the process of moral thought change, it identifies the stages where changes occur, and interprets these modifications. Finally, it discusses some theoretical limitations of the model and offers suggestions for future research
