The article is devoted to the problem of traditions and innovations in modern dance culture. It analyzes the forms of work of contemporary Russian choreographers with classical ballet performances. Particular attention is paid to such phenomena as reconstruction and restoration. The conclusion is made about the need to preserve the classical cultural heritage in ballet and its new disclosure for the modern audience.
