Population density ( D , number/hectare) of largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides was related to electrofishing catch per effort (CPE) for a Wisconsin lake. A similar relation that was previously described for 12 Ohio lakes was verified with the Wisconsin data, and the data were combined to yield the following regression equation ( r = 0.89): log 10 D = 1.1641 log 10 CPE − 0.45161.
