A portable, self‐cleaning fish screen for diverting migrating salmonids in irrigation ditches is described. The entire device weighs 540 lb and is designed to operate at flows less than 5 ft 3/s. It can be easily moved from site to site during the migration period, and it is as efficient as a permanent screen.
