Ctenophores constituted most of the stomach contents of 50 chum salmon Oncorhynchus keta and one chinook salmon O. tshawytscha caught in British Columbia waters during summer 1981. Ctenophore remains are difficult to identify, and such food may be more important to Pacific salmon than hitherto realized. Received February 10, 1983 Accepted June 15, 1983
