Parasitic copepods were found on 1.6% of coho salmon, Oncorhynchus kisutch, 8.8% of chinook salmon, Oncorhynchus tshawytscha, and 15.8% of yellow perch, Perca flavescens, from Lake Michigan. Ergasilus luciopercarum Henderson parasitized chinook salmon and yellow perch, while Ergasilus nerkae Roberts was observed only on coho salmon. E. luciopercarum was also found to parasitize rainbow trout, Salmo gairdneri Richardson, and brown trout, Salmo trutta Linnaeus. This is the first report of E. luciopercarum parasitizing the above salmonids and E. nerkae parasitizing coho salmon.
