The comparison of the electrophoretic patterns of hemoglobins of individual parent species (green sunfish and bluegill) and a mixture of parental hemolysates to that of the F 1 hybrids revealed that the hybrid contained at least one detectable hemoglobin component which differed from those of the parental mixture.
