Blood Lactic Acid Concentrations in Brook Trout, Salvelinus fontinalis, Planted by Air Drop

The level of lactic acid in the blood of brook trout increased significantly after planting by air drop but remained well below levels associated with fatigue deaths in other species. Blood lactic acid level was the highest among trout which had been loaded more heavily for transport.
