The paper describes a new method for hatching small batches of African catfish Clarias gariepinus eggs using mesh tea balls that is easy and reliable. When 0.25‐g egg samples were incubated in tea balls, the hatching rate was similar to that of 1‐g samples hatched in zuger jars.
