Highly efficient two‐componen tantalum nitride and bismuth orthovanadate (Ta 3 N 5 /BiVO 4 ) composite photocatalyst was successfully synthesized. The photocatalytic performance of material was evaluated by the photoredution of carbon dioxide and degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light. Results show that the obtained photocatalyts can significantly enhance photocatalytic activity in comparison with pure Ta 3 N 5 và BiVO 4 . The enhanced photocatalytic activity of Ta 3 N 5 /BiVO 4 composite was predominantly attributed to the synergistic effect which increased visible‐light absorption and facilitated the efficient separation of photoinduced electrons and holes. This work may be useful for a facile way to synthesize the highly efficient photocatalytic systems for application in energy conversion and environmental remediation.
