The article is devoted to the designing and creation of remote-control equipment for defense facilities and machinery in the USSR in the 1920s. The basic centers for the invention of the radio waves remote –controldefense objects facilities have been listed in the article. The work of the Special Technical Bureau for the military inventions of special purpose (OSTEKHBURO) and Central radio laboratory of Electrical Engineering trust of the weak current plants has been revealed. The main directions of work at this stage of remote-control system are: development of methods and technologies of information (signals)transmission and reception, generation of prototypes for military hardware remote-control facilities, first testing of finished equipment and devices. The urgency of work is determined by the necessity of a comprehensive analysis of the initial stage of creatingmilitary hardware remote-control facilitiesof special purpose which today has practically no interpretation in native historiography. Archival materials of the Central State Archives of St. Petersburg and the Russian State Archive of the Navy make possible to know the history of the creation of the first military remote-control hardware prototypes in the USSR, as well as to get acquainted with products whichwere not the objects of largescale production but became the reserve for future engineering design. The purpose of the article is to identify the executed work on the development and creation of military radio-controlled remote equipment in 1920s in the USSR. To achieve this goal it is necessary to solve the following tasks of research:to determine the basic research centers for the design and creation of military remote-control facilities and equipment; to observe the reorganization of design bureaus and laboratories and to demonstrate their interaction; to analyzecorrespondence of performed work onremote control to work schedule, estimates and reports; to determine the obtained results by the certificate of proof for radio- andremote-control equipment. The research is based on the principles of historicism and objectivity. In the course of the study the following methods were applied: typology, modeling, perspective analysis and problem-chronological. The result of the research is an analysis of the initial stage of development and creation of the first military hardware prototypes with the remote radio control.
