The document presents general directions of the energy policy of Poland and the EU, principles of the regional energy policy based on the energy law and energy planning in the municipality in the light of the objectives of the European Parliament. Energy planning offers the possibility to forecast energy demand and coordinate the implementation of the EP at different levels. At the municipal level, there are great opportunities to increase energy efficiency, while reducing gas emissions and using renewable energy sources.
