The article focuses on a thorough description of the career after retiring offormer athletes currently living and working in Ho Chi Minh City. The resultsshowed that the rate work in sports in the former athletes is not high. Employee,Self-employed, Physical education teachers are the top 3 most chosenprofessions. Some strenuous and unstable jobs such as mason, motorbike taxiare also selected. The author hopes that this result will be a useful referencesource in building support programs for athletes in general and athletes whohave retired in particular.Keywords: retirement, career, former athletes
