Peach Palm has been consumed in Mesoamerica since pre-colombian times. However, extensive commercial plantations are rather recent, in particular, the production of hearts of palmo Peach palm growing in the humid tropics face great competition from a broad range of weeds. Weed management information for this crop is scarse and scattered in publications of limited distribution. The objective of this review is to gather such information, in order to offer support for future efforts in the development of weed management strategies.
