This work aims to describe the levels of performance verified in a reading-writing task applied to students of Celpe-Bras Preparatory course. We used one task and a corpus of 22 texts and we described the levels of student performance, transforming the general parameters of the exam into specific parameters for this task, and analyzing what each level presented in this task. The results of the study indicate that in more advanced levels there were no problems related tothe configuration of the interlocution and to the construction of the genre, and the selection and recontextualization of information in reading text were determinant in the difference between all the evaluated levels The analysis and thedescription of the levels of performance accomplished in this work contribute to foment the discussion of the differences between the levels evaluated in the Written Part of Celpe-Bras.
