Nuclear energy plays an important role in ensuring Ukraine's energy independence, thus the need to implement a program of building new nuclear power units is obvious. When formulating the strategy for the development of Ukraine's nuclear energy, the technology of high-capacity light-water reactors AP1000 is an acceptable choice, but it requires a feasibility study and taking of appropriate measures.
