Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola asuh yang diterapkan orangtua, upaya-upaya yang dilakukan orangtua dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi orangtua dalam keluarga muslim minoritas. Penelitian dilakukan di Amphoe Rattaphum Provinsi Songhkla Thailand dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik analisis data melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orangtua menerapkan pola asuh otoriter dan demokratis. Upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh para orangtua yaitu dengan metode story telling, suri tauladan, pembelajaran langsung, serta reward and punishment. Hambatan yang dihadapi orangtua meliputi kendala intern dan ekstern. Orangtua dalam memberikan pendidikan mengenai berpuasa hendaknya menerapkan pola asuh demokratis dan membuat buku catatan ramadhan, selain itu adanya sosialisasi tentang upaya dalam mendidik agama pada anak oleh tokoh masyarakat setempat. Kemudian, adanya kerja sama antara lembaga TPQ dengan orangtua dalam memberikan konseling agama kepada anak. This study aimed to describe parenting styles that applied by parents, the efforts that parents do to educate the adolescents and the constraints faced by parents in the family of moeslim minority. The study was conducted in Amphoe Rattaphum Songhkla province of Thailand with qualitative approach. Data analysis techniques through of data reduction, data displays and conclusion. The results showed that parents apply authoritarian and democratic parenting style. The efforts of religious education to adolescents made by storytelling, role models, hands-on learning, as well as reward and punishment. Barriers faced by parents include internal and external factors. From the study, parents in providing education about fasting applied democratic parenting style so they have to make a note book of Ramadan, to enrich knowledge about what effort that can be done by parents, local community such as key person or local goverment have to held sosialization to parents. Then, the cooperation between institutions TPQ and parents to provide religious counseling to adolescents.
