Micro RNA s (mi RNA s) play key regulatory roles in diverse biological processes and are frequently dysregulated in human diseases. Thus, mi RNA s have emerged as a class of promising targets for therapeutic intervention. Here, we describe the current strategies for therapeutic modulation of mi RNA s and provide an update on the development of mi RNA ‐based therapeutics for the treatment of cancer, cardiovascular disease and hepatitis C virus ( HCV ) infection.
