RN ase H2 is a susceptibility gene for the Aicardi–Goutières syndrome ( AGS ), a genetic auto‐inflammatory disease. Mackenzie and colleagues now report a tractable mouse model for the disease, implicating the cGAS ‐ STING pathway.
