Teri Klassen is a graduate student in the Department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology at Indiana University. Her studies focus on historical ethnography and material culture in the United States. The complex cultural history of American quiltmaking is her special interest. She recently published an article on quiltmaking and patriotism in the American Quilt Study Group's annual Uncoverings.
