This article discusses the unasked and unanswered research questions on the educational status and experiences of native women. It summarizes what little is known about three categories of native women (undergraduate students, graduate students, and professionals) and suggests necessary starting points for embarking on a research agenda. In addition, this article advances tentative explanations for the current status of research on the education of native women in the United States.
