This report contains some 9 of the important results obtained by Soviet archaeologists during the latter part of 1940 and the first part of 1941. Despite the War, books, scientific journals, and manuscripts have been received from the U.S.S.R. as recently as February, 1942. The authors wish to express their gratitude to President Kemenev of the Society for the Promotion of Cultural Relations with Foreigners (VOKS) and to the Soviet archaeologists from Murmansk to Yerevan and from Tripolje to Kamchatka who have furnished us with the information contained in this and in our previous articles.10
