After the start of Russia's special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, German companies began to reconsider the strategies of their presence on the Russian market. Their activities are under strong reputational pressure from compatriots in Germany, even in sectors that have not been sanctioned. Vast majority of large German companies are currently leaving the Russian market or radically reducing the scope of their activities, securing the possibility of selective cooperation under previously concluded contracts. In the chorus of statements, the voices of those who do not plan to leave the Russian market are not heard. The author analyzes the identified main strategies of leading German companies.
