The development of tourism in Kufstein until 1914. Summer and health tourism, alpine sports and the beginning of winter tourismThis bachelor thesis shows the economic importance of the touristic sector in Kufstein before the First World War. It examines how technical innovations, organisations and business-minded entrepreneurs developed the upcoming sector of summer tourism in Kufstein. The paper further discusses whether winter tourism already existed in Kufstein and whether this was already of economic importance for the small Tyrolean town.
