The article shows the profiles of the seven blessed of the Archdiocese of Poznań, and passages from their memoirs. The author tries to discover the timeless features of the secular model of sanctity in the hagiographies of Edmund Bojanowski, Czesław Jóźwiak, Franciszek Kęsy, Edward Kaźmier- ski, Jarogniew Wojciechowski, Edward Klinik and Natalia Tułasiewiczówna. The article shows in each of the seven biographies the path of gradual maturation in faith embedded in the historical context of events crucial for Poland. A common feature of all the characters is their strong com- mitment to the cause of education and patriotism based on a solid religious and moral foundation.
