A thank-you, long overdue

In 2005 discussions at the NACIS meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah, forced me to think differently and more clearly about issues of ethics and morals both in cartography but also elsewhere in the "knowledge professons." An article in Cartographic Perspectives became a tool for this exploration. The result, after a decade of thinking and rethinking, is a new book titled Ethics in Everyday Life. This brief piece is a thank-you to members whose questions and comments were so critical in forcing me to new ways of thinking both about maps and about the ideas they present.
