The article notes that the current legislation contains opportunities to protect the population from the consequences of trafficking in any sucking, chewing products containing nicotine and (or) its derivatives, or non-Smoking (Smoking) products (products) that do not contain nicotine, and also analyzes legislative initiatives in this area. Attention is drawn to individual application problems legislation in the field of protection of citizens ‘ health from the effects of ambient tobacco smoke and the consequences of tobacco consumption. The author concludes that it is necessary to develop a new Federal law that will regulate not only public relations arising in the sphere of protecting the health of citizens from the effects of ambient tobacco smoke and the consequences of tobacco consumption.
