It is known that the metabolic syndrome precedes the occurrence of cardiovascular pathology and type 2 diabetes, and increasesthe risk for the associated death. However, this condition is reversible, and may be cured, or the reduction of its main symptoms couldbe observed. The article demonstrates the current approach to the therapy of the metabolic syndrome.
