Synthesized [4-(4-aminobenzene-1-sulfonyl)piperazin-1-yl)(furan-2-yl)methanone (4-4-ABSPFM), anovel organic compound was used as inhibitor on prevention of mild steel corrosion. Experimentswere performed in 1 N HCl acidic medium by weight loss method and electrochemical analysis. Oncomparing the results, it reveals that the novel organic compound shows better inhibition efficiency onmild steel corrosion, which is more effective in 1 N HCl at three different temperatures. Electrochemicalstudies such as AC impedance and potentiodynamic polarization studies were proven the results byshowing the inhibitor is a mixed type inhibitor in acidic medium. From the semi-micrograph obtainedfrom SEM analysis shows a better efficiency of the inhibitor over the surface of the mild steel.
