Piperine, a natural alkaloid obtained from black pepper exhibit a variety of pharmacological activities like antioxidant activity and in thisarticle, the mechanism of the antioxidant, structure-activity relationship of piperine as an antioxidant and various schemes of derivativesof piperine as antioxidants were discussed.
