Kakasszék is a small village situated in the Eastern border of Csongrád County between Székkutas and Orosháza. The area is low in moisture and it is characterised by extreme moisture distribution. The environment of Kakasszék is surrounded by relatively less lick soil and arable land of high quality. The proportion of arable land from the agricultural area is over 72%, the meadow and pasture farming is outstanding, its proportion is 20% in Kakasszék. The separation of the croplands restricts the efficient production in the majority of small farms. The unemployment, however, is the lowest in Székkutas in the micro-region. The rural tourism, especially indoor game breeding as a tourist spectacle could provide considerable attractiveness. Moreover, the village-guest table has outstanding significance by serving traditional foodstuffs prepared and sold in the place.
