The significance of the impact of water-related diseases on humanhealth has been recognized as a major threat to sustainable humandevelopment in some international forums. This study is an investigationinto the correlation between unclean water and the outbreak ofwater-related diseases in Nigeria. It was established from the review ofprevious researches that the concept of clean water and sanitation iscritical to the good health and well-being of all individuals. Nigeriastill has a long way to go towards achieving the Sustainable DevelopmentGoal number 6 (SDG 6) of the United Nations, hence it is high timegovernment at all levels and individuals embraced Water, Sanitation andHygiene (WASH) agenda 2030.
