A quadrature phase-shifted optical demodulation scheme has been developed for low-coherence fiber-optic Fabry-Perot interferometric sensors. The demodulator shows a great stability of phase shift. Applications to vibration/strain measurements are demonstrated. © 2019 The Author(s)
