The aim of this paper is to discuss Chantal Mouffe’s critique to the work of John Rawls. In order to achieve this we will review Alexander Kaufman's and Alessandro Ferrara's critiques to Mouffe's reading of Rawls. Furthermore, we will expound that the Belgian theoretician overlooks the importance of dissent and pluralism as a source of normativity in Rawls' idea of public reason
