THE SUPERNATURAL CONCEPCIONS OF DISEASES THROUGH THE HISTORY: In the antiquity, the concept of disease was frequently straightened with supernatural phenomena. Divine or demoniacal forces were seen as causing disease, which were also conceived as a punishment for individual or collective sin, although it was also seen at certain times as an evidence of holiness.
