En este epistolario se destaca un pensamiento teológico mediante el cual María Zambrano reflexiona sobre algunas preocupaciones que siempre ha mostrado: el cristianismo y la mística, y, adentrándose aún más, las procesiones divinas, especialmente la del Espíritu Santo, la encarnación de Cristo, la Virgen, la liturgia y la recepción del Vaticano II, entre otras vivencias personales.
